Imagine my delight when I received a lovely handwritten postcard in the mail recently from my favorite author friend
Alexandra Stoddard. I interviewed her for
a magazine article I wrote awhile back, as I have been a devoted follower of her design and lifestyle books for many years after hearing her speak. Alexandra invited me and my hubby Steve to attend one of her
Happiness Weekends at her personal home in
Stonington, CT in 2006 and we had great fun!
I recently read Alexandra's husband Peter
Megargee Brown's new book,
Figure It Out: A Guide to Wisdom. Like Peter, I'm a lifelong lover and collector of quotes, so I was immediately drawn to his book with its many wise personal life observations complimented by famous quotes. With chapter topics from

ness," not to mention endearingly charming role models for many on the art of living artfully well.)
