I'm Back from Tucson, AZ B&B Trip

With hubby Steve at the Adobe Rose Bed & Breakfast Inn
Tucson, AZ

Dear Blog Friends,

Hubby Steve and I just returned home from an intense three day seminar in Tucson, AZ. We had the good fortune of staying at the Adobe Rose Bed & Breakfast Inn, which we loved. Owners/hosts Jim and Marion Hook are the quintessential B&B hosts as they truly enjoy their guests, are friendly and helpful, and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. We were even invited for a refreshment and chat poolside with them and another guest. What fun!

Adobe Rose Inn is located near the university.

The beautiful front yard is filled with lovely cactus. Tucson is short on green grass and long on cactus since it's definitely a desert town and it's HOT there!

The owners' friends painted the charming and colorful vines on the wall.

I enjoyed their pretty courtyard entrance and many seating areas for reading a good book.

They took delight in providing us nice breakfasts each morning. I had never had grapefruit with cinnamon on it and it's great! Their colorful pitchers for serving juice were gorgeous. Jim told use they brought them back from Mexico.

Marion had fun making us chocolate chip pancakes! A decadent delight!

The breakfast room had beautiful stained glass windows and Southwestern decor.

The living room was comfortable and they provided brochures for any tourist attraction you might want to enjoy.

Our room had this lovely fireplace and stained glass window. We were very comfortable as our room was poolside and had a private bath.

Our bed gave us a restful night's sleep in the desert.

Cactus grow everywhere as Jim told us it's very hard to grow flowers because the soil is too hard to dig by hand.

We enjoyed the pathways between buildings and the Hooks have even used these areas to host weddings and receptions.

If you're ever in Tucson and need a place to hang your (ten gallon) hat, check out the Adobe Rose Inn and tell Jim and Marion that Steve and Kathryn sent you!
